On June 4th a number of DEMA Consulting & Management employees took part in the 2022 Santa Rosa Pride Parade. The group met early Saturday morning in downtown Santa Rosa along with thousands of rainbow-clad Sonoma County locals and visitors transforming Old Courthouse Square into a sea of pulsing sound and color. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reported that "It was among the largest gatherings the county has seen in recent years with the pandemic, and the first full, in-person Pride festival here since 2019." The theme of the event was called "We Are Family" - appropriately named as it was said that the event felt more like a family reunion of sorts. Groups gathered northeast of downtown Santa Rosa for the 11 a.m. parade which headed toward the square.
Along with DEMA other organizations took part in the parade such as the Sonoma County Democratic Party, Cesar Chavez Language Academy, North Bay LGBTQI Families, the Graton Street Band Hubbub Club as well as many others. Public safety agencies including the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and Santa Rosa Police Department also participated with their red and blue lights flashing! Many other associations/organizations throughout the Bay Area also participated including Cheer San Francisco which is an LGBTQ+ cheerleading squad; and the famous San Francisco Dykes on Bikes.
