Disaster Response Team
DEMA Consulting and Management was recently awarded the Sonoma County Disaster Response contract, which entails responding to any local disasters to set up and operate medical facilities within evacuation shelters for displaced residents.
DEMA Consulting and Management began after our CEO, Michelle Patino (Registered Nurse) developed, implemented, and operated disaster medical services at evacuation shelters during the Tubbs Fire. Due to the effectiveness of her approach, her services were called upon again during the Kincade fire. Last winter, we provided medical services for evacuees of the Russian River flood zone. Throughout these deployments, we were fortunate enough to have an influx of volunteers with whom we developed wonderful relationships. Currently, a large number of our company's staff were previously volunteers during disaster response deployments.
DEMA's Disaster Response Team has 3 trailers fully stocked and ready to deploy at a moments notice. These trailers house all equipment necessary to open fully functional and self sustained medical "clinics". Upon deployment, we have the capability to set up clinics in up to 3 shelters in under 2 hours.
We are seeking volunteers who would be willing to respond in the event of a disaster. Volunteers operate under the direction of a physician and provide medical care to victims of flooding, wildfires, earthquakes, etc. Training and all equipment/supplies are provided.
Those interested in volunteering need only to submit your name, credentials and contact information and you will be added to our roster. In the event of a deployment, you will be contacted and invited to submit your availability. There is no commitment if you are unavailable during a deployment.
Individuals with the following qualifications are invited to join our amazing team of volunteers:
MD, DO, PA, NPParamedic, EMT, EMRRN, LVN, MA, CNA, ER Tech
We also welcome students who are currently enrolled in any of the above programs. Students gain incredible experience in a clinical setting and develop relationships that can be incredibly beneficial as you progress toward your career.
If you have any questions, please email info@demacm.com or call us at 707-757-5010.
